Nazi Germany of course has many villains, but the Soviet Union has some also, and it was Blokhin who was hand-picked by Stalin as the lead executioner of Polish prisoners, mainly military men and police officers, at the camp near the Katyn forest.
However, I came across the case of another one of the bad guys named Vasily Blokhin and the Katyn Massacre in Poland in the Spring of 1940. Vasily Blokhin: I have been doing a lot of reading, especially about World War II, and the many unsung heroes that many may not have heard about such as Sophie Scholl and Irena Sendler.
